Right Time, Right Place

During the month that I was away, I was at peace about him because I knew that the personnel there really cared for and cared about him. He passed away in July of that year, and when my health improved enough that I could live independently, I moved into an apartment.
I formed some very close friendships with the residents of Personal Care. During the 18 months since I left the facility, I usually visit them weekly and enjoy playing cards, joining them for lunch, or just “sit and knit” with them. If the time ever comes when I can no longer live independently, I would not hesitate to return to those walls.
