Personal Care Amenities

It is the desire of Golden Age Home to provide comfortable and inviting areas for both our residents and their visitors.   
 

• There are four sunrooms overlooking the Golden Age Home campus. These areas give the resident the feeling of sitting on the front porch all the while having the comfort of the indoors.
• Numerous sitting areas give the residents and their visitors ample space to play table games, work on puzzles or chat over a cup of coffee.
• The spacious activity room serves as hosts to most Personal Care events (such as Christmas parties, guest speakers).
• Residents enjoy dining together in the restaurant style dining room. Soup and salad bar is available daily for lunch and supper. Visitors are welcomed to join our residents for the low cost of $4.
• Bible studies and worship services are held in our beautiful chapel. Golden Age Home is fortunate to have participation from a wide variety of churches/denominations. Residents can choose to attend one, all or none of these religious services. Please see Activity calendar for complete listing.
• While laundry service can be provided for $30 per month, some residents may choose to continue to do their own washing.  A laundry room is available for these residents at no additional charge.  The only requirement is dirty laundry and laundry soap.
• Our on-site beauty salon gives residents the choice to stay in the facility and have their hair done if they choose.  A local beautician operates the salon and payment is rendered separately from Golden Age Home.
• Schroeder Park
• A large community room is located at the end of office wing of Personal Care. This room is rented to various groups within the Lockhart community for gatherings.  It also hosts some of our activities and parties.
