Lifetime service awards

At the 65th Anniversary, Golden Gala, two team members were presented with Lifetime Service Awards. This award honors the legacy they live by and the example they set for the generations to come.

Intern opportunities

All our team members are providing care to our residents in various ways. We recognize that caregiving is a passion of the heart above being a specific set of skills someone possesses. We understand there are many paths a person may take to find their passion. So, Golden Age Home has partnered with several programs providing training and work experience opportunities. This component provides students and adults alike with the opportunity to try a new career in a safe environment. The program improves the overall healthcare workforce by fostering a passion and love for senior care while also benefiting the seniors with additional support by having more hands available to provide care and attention.

The program has grown into numerous partnerships with room to continue expansion;

Gary Job Corp CNA students complete a 6-week work-based experience to use classroom skills learned while getting familiar with the needs of senior adults.
Lockhart ISD CCMA class students complete 3-week rotations to explore and practice hands-on skills and interact with senior adults.
Retired Nurses of Caldwell County use Golden Age Home facility to conduct CNA classes and clinical training to interact directly with seniors to practice their skills with the true needs of a senior adult.
Williams Career School of Excellence conducts clinical training rotations with an RN for their CNA classes to interact directly with seniors to practice their skills with the true needs of a senior adult.
Concorde Career College and College of Health Care Professions (CHCP)- MA students complete 6-8 week externship to practice hands-on skills.
Texas Workforce youth and adult programs provide paid internships (ranging in length) for youth (WOIA, SEAL) as well as adults in various job roles (ranging from dietary, activities, clerical to caregiver).
